Thank you for the info. I believe Caroline R.H. and Matilda are one and the same as Caroline's maiden name was Caroline Matilda Reeder according to "A Collection of Upper S.C. Genealogical & Family Records, Vol. 1." I believe that Pickens Harbin, age 6 in the 1850 census was named Andrew Pickens. He and S.V. were in the South Carolina Infantry Battalion, Co. E from April 1862 until the fall of 1862. They then became part of the South Carolina Palmetto Sharpshooters Infantry Regiment, Co. B.
