If you look at the census carefully, you will see that the age for Harriet M. Burton was 8 NOT 6. The census taker started to write a 6 but you can clearly see that they changed it to an 8, which makes the age fit perfectly. Also in the Pickens County 1900 census for Miles Morgan, his wife is enumerated as Elizabeth M. Morgan, born Aug 1872. This is definitely your girl. There is no other Harriett Burton in the State of South Carolina that fits this age and middle initial. Food for thought.
