I had posted an inquiry about this family on this site and believe that I have found Susan's parents. In the 1880 GA, Rabun Co, census Ann M. Powell, mother-in-law, is living with Jesse & Susan J. Bynum. In 1860 census, SC, Pickens, I found Susan J with parents, W. H. & Ann M Powell,& siblings. In 1870 they are in Rabun Co, Clayton, listed as William & Mary. I'm confused over the 1850 census. In 1850 VA Botetourt, I found what appears to be the same family but the name appears to be Calvin instead of William. I know that Jesse & Susan Bynum apparently settled in Oconee Co to raise their family. Does anybody have info on Jesse's parents & any information about the Powell family? Thank you for any help.
