Ann Rogers of Walhalla, maintains an Obit Index Card File for the Walhalla Public Library - it's about 104' long! Some of her obit and tombstone inscription work is on-line. You can visit her webpages by visiting my Oconee County GenWeb Project. The library has a website, but I don't think that they will help do any research work for you.
