My late mother-in-law was a Callie Mae Winkler from Oconee Co. and the Wahalla- Seneca- Six Mile Area. Her father was a John Winkler who migrated from White Co. Ga.(I think)Callie had a sister named Sally.Callie married a James Edward Grant and they lived in the Greenville S.C. area.Does anyone have any knowledge of this Winkler family?I was told all records were lost in a courthouse fire years ago.Thanks for any help.
