Elisabeth Smith, born 1831 in Georgia, married Squire Joseph Sanders in Pickens District, in 1850. Does anyone have information on the origins of Elisabeth? I have a letter written to her in Pickens District, from her brother, William H. Smith, in Cherokee County, Georgia, during the 1850s. After Squire died during the war, Elisabeth Smith Sanders moved to Sevier County, Tennessee, in the 1860s.
