Hi Elaine,
I have have come to a brick wall on my Chambers. He is John W Chambers b 1805 NC md to Rhoda Dunn. He was born in NC and we find him in the Blount Co TN area thru the census. His son, Benjamin Bradson Chambers, was my great grandfather who later migrated to MO, OK, AR.
We recently heard that "maybe" John W Chambers ancestors were first in SC before coming to NC. We don't even know which county in NC he came from. That would help so much. Anyway, this source said Woller Holler, SC. I found Walholler....which I think is what she meant.

Also, we found a Benjamin Chambers in the 96th dist of SC in the 1700's.

Anyway, do you have a "loose" John W Chambers anywhere or any leads to him? In the 1850 Census of TN we see two more Chambers that are neighbors to John.....William and Thomas.

Thanks
Etta
