Hello Ed,
How nice to connect! Your grandfather James Edwin Kelley was the younger brother of my Great-grandfather, Thomas McBride Kelley (b. 1859-d.1942). One of his seven children, son Thomas Bramlett Kelley (1891-1977)was my grandfather, his daughter Dorothy Kelley Hemstreet (twin to Gladys Kelley Crawford, born 1923,Gladys now deceased) is my mother.

So our common ancestor is James Jasper Kelley. Interesting, I was born in 1949, so while we are close in age, we are one generation apart. I guess that's what happens with all those second wives!

There is a booklet produced from Sharp reunion info. It has Bertie Smith correct as the second wife, but has wrong info about your generation. I am trying to get together family info to send to the person keeping track; I can include your corrections if you wish.

Please e-mail me, I would like to know about your family!

Mary Lou
