1st Kelleys settled in old Pendleton Dist.around 1780-1790.John and Nimrod are shown on 1790 census.
Members of Kelley, Sitton, Lay and Sharp(e) families are
buried in Bethel Presbyterian Church Cemetery
in the Picket Post Community near Walhalla, S.C. Members of the Kelley, Sharp, McMahan,
Lay, and Sitton families are related, all
having roots in upper S.C. from the late 1700
