I found where George and Mary Ray received a land grant in 1768 in Berkeley co Sc on the SC Archives site. They sold their land in 1772. I do not know where they went. Would anyone have any kind of records showing a George and Mary Ray in the area of SC that would become Newberry co Sc about 1770? They apparently were close friends of Rev Samuel Newman who die din 1771 since they signed his will. Any help appreciated. Thanks,Ross
