ATWOOD, Isaac - Rev War Soldier - SC/GA
Isaac ATWOOD was a Captain in the British Army during the Rev. War. He was with the King's American Regiment. In 1783 he switched from the British to the American side.
He was in and around the South Carolina area and the St. Pauls Parrish, Richmond Co. GA. area. He died in Richmond Co., GA in 1791. His son, Abraham ATWOOD, was born in Richmond Co., GA in 1789. I would like to find Isaac's military records; hopefully to determine the names of his parents as well as when and where he was born. I believe that he was already living in the Colonies before he entered into the Rev. War. I don't know much about Rev. War pensions. Is it possible his widow could have drawn a pension? Thanks for any help.
