Connie, I too am seeking iformation on the Fortner, a different line, but with some of the same names. I am seeking information on a Nicey Fortner, b. 1810 SC that married Hartwell Favors, St Clair AL 1830. Nicey Fortner is believed to be daughter of Nathon Fortner and sister of Elizabeth Fortner b.1811 SC that married James Holt in St Clair
AL ab 1829.
What's so interesting, Connie, is that
the two James Holts married Fortners and the descendants of both lines have children named after Nathon. This leads us to believe that
your Elizabeth Fortner b. 1801 SC and Elizabeth Fortner b. 1811 SC could be sisters to my Nicey Fortner Favors b. 1810 SC.
Any help on the ancestral line of the Fortners would be appreciaated. Sincerely, HAFavors@aol.com
