My line goes back to the Capt. John Huggins,of Giles Regiment. If you will access this web site, it has tons of info on the old families from Williamsburg Co. area, and Darlington Co. It is the Eaddy site, which covers many Huggins, Hannas etc.it is http://www2.msstate.edu/~eaddy/http://www2.msstate.edu/~eaddy/
I can't get from your person into my Huggins, but I bet they are kin, there are tons of them, and the area sounds the same, Darlington, etc., that is where my Gr Grandmother and grandmother were born. My grandmother Nettie Adell Hanna, married to Joseph Hugh Hanna of Gifford, S. C. (formerly of Indiantown,), Her mother was a Huggins. Eliza Louisa Ann Elizabeth Huggins, and her father wasReverend John Samuel Huggins,Born 1810,and his father was George Huggins, Born 1778, then his father was John, Born 1747/48, and his father was George, Born 1725, and then his father was John, born abt. 1670. I have info on these families, but perhaps you could access from the Eaddy site. It is wonderful. He is re writing the book The Promised Land, which is about the Eaddy families in S. C. but the Hanna's and Huggins are all entertwined within that family.
