Martha Spence/Spencer & William Davis
I am searching for a son of William Davis and wife Martha Spence or Spencer of South Carolina. They had a son named WIlliam born 1795. The WIlliam Davis married to Martha Spence/Spencer has Rev. War information found on the Ancestry site.
I am trying to locate information about that son that is reliable. I have no other information regarding their son.
I do see that a Davis family member married a John HAMMETT and another family member, Roderick "Rhodia" Prewitt (1804-1880)married a Mary "Polly" McElrath or McElwrath(1813 - 1880).
At a later date the WIlliam Davis I am researching would have family connections to Cannon, Herring, McElrath, Hammett, Glenn, and Wood families, all from SC area.
NOTE: Added info only here:
"Sarah HAMMETT daughter of William, born bef 1731; died aft 1787, but bef 1824, in South Carolina; married (1) 19 Dec 1744, Overwharton Parish, Stafford Co, VA, Christopher BRODERICK, who died while she was carrying their first child, Mary, whereupon Sarah married (2) 8 Jul 1745, three months' prior to her daughter's posthumous birth, also in Overwharton Parish, John CANNON, who died bef 1788, Spartanburg Co, South Carolina".
If you can help, I'd appreicate anything of value.
