My ancestor, John Wilson, (born bef 1771), with his son Hugh(b 1791 SC) were living around Flowery Branch Ferry on the Chattahoochee River in 1817 with Irwin, Sion, Simon and Lazerus Strickland. Also Lewis, Sion, Jacob and Levi Crow. This was still Indian land and the Indian agent asked them to all move back behind the line, which would have been in Hall county. Hugh, Thomas and Robert were later living on Flat Creek (1820&1830)in Hall co.
John’s children were:Hugh Wilson (b1791 SC) m. I am trying to connect this line to a Wilson line in South Carolina.I believe they left SC around 1808 or 1809. Any information on South Carolina Wilsons that might connect would be appreciated.
