I only know of 4 children born to James Puckett Jr. [b. 1781]and m. Margaret Russell. James D. Puckett was born to James Jr. and Margaret Russell in 1801 in SC. I do know James D. Puckett moved from Laurens Co. and appears in Oktibbiah Co. MS with two sisters one [Rhoda] living with him in 1850 and the other [Magina] was married to Telghman Niblett and lived nearby. It appears James D. never married and was living with his nephew, James M. Niblett, in 1860 in Choctaw Co. MS. Margaret Russell d. in 1805 and apparently James Jr married again but the name of Magina and Rhoda is not known by this researcher. Rhoda m. Richard West [a neighbor whose wife had died.] Rhoda appears in the 1880 census in Oktibbiah Co. MS. James Jr. died in about 1828-29 in Laurens Co. and his son. James D. appears in Laurens Co. with what appears to be his step mother, 1/2 sister and a younger 1/2 bro. Magina had already married appears in Gwinnett Co. GA with her husband Tilman and unknown children also live in their household.
