Point Comfort is the name of a Cape and a populated place on the east side of Hilton Head Island in Beaufort County, SC about 10 miles northeast of the point where the Savannah River flows into the Atlantic Ocean. Go to the U.S. Geological Survey - Geographic Names Information System (GNIS) web site at and click the Search Domestic Names link in the upper left corner to access the search engine menu and type in Point Comfort for additional information and maps.
