I too am working on my Shaw line that lived in Anderson, Anderson County, South Carolina in 1850's. I am looking for information on Peyton R. Shaw b(about 1805) and his wife Candance Jones b(about 1807) and their children: Vensey or Veney, Nancy, William, Martha, James, and Mary. He had a second wife named Janie Snipes.

Any information would be much appreciated.
