GRINDLE DNA Project
ANNOUNCING the GRINDLE DNA PROJECT! Seeking to determine possible relationships between family lines who immigrated to America in the 1600-1800s and resided primarily in Maine, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia and South Carolina. John, Jacob and Henry GRINDLE, who fought in the Revolutionary War in PA, are a particular focus. They resided primarily in Southwestern PA before moving to OH. The three are believed to be related; possibly brothers, or father and son.They can be found in early Reformed Lutheran and German Lutheran church records in Southwestern PA.Are they related to the Grindles' of Grindle Shoals in South Carolina? A John Grindle owned property both in South Carolina and PA.The project seeks to determine genetic connections with other nearby GRINDLE family lines and geographic areas of origin in Europe.Male GRINDLE descendants are NEEDED and ENCOURAGED to contact me if interested in participating in this DNA project.Individual tests are currently underway and results should be available by January 2011.Please email me directly for more information.
