Hi Mona,
Yes I have saw your Rasco and Norton names in the Campbell County Georgia and have tried to find them back in NC. Most of the Rascoe's that I am aware of that was in NC in 1775 and before were in Hertford, Bertie,Terrell, and Hyde Counties. There was a James Rascoe on a Wayne County NC tax list in 1786. In 1790 a James and a John Rasco shows up on the census of the Cheraw District (Marlboro County) SC. In the late 1780's and 90's Rascoes were in Chatham, Washington and other Georgia Counties. By the 1820's some of these were in Pike County Georgia.

In the 1860 census of the household of Aquilla Rascoe is a boy named Henry Norton, eight years old. In 1870 he is still in the Rascoe household as a seventeen year on farm laborer. His relationship to Aquilla or his wife is not given. Aquilla Rasco sold land in Marlboro County SC Feb. 2, 1826 and moved to the Wolf Pit area of Richmond County NC where he spent the rest of his life dying about 1870.
I would be interested in any thing else you might have on your Rasco ancestors and their descendants.
