SEARLS' MILL

Does anyone know anything about a place called Searls' Mill om <c Cor,ick county? It may have been in Abbeville county before the formation of McCormick. I am looking for a family Thompson (Starling) that may have been there between the 1860 and 1870 census...going from Augusta to a place called Searls' Mills and then to Lincoln county Ga. Starling (also spelled Sterling) has been a real problem for me. Thanks for any help... Candace Smith
