I am looking for anyone related/interested in a Sweat family reported to be from Marlboro County, South Carolina. I'm sure I don't need to tell anyone how hard it is to research in SC. Three children have turned up, reportedly the children of Henry Sweat and Rebecca Cope: 1)Floyd Sweat - born about 5 May or March 1894 in Marlboro County, died 8 November 1915 in Richmond County, North Carolina, buried in Shiloh Church Cemetery (Marlboro Co.). 2) Phoebe Sweat - born 10 January 1867 in Marlboro Co., died 4 September 1943 in Scotland County, North Carolina, and buried in King Cemetery (Scotland Co.) She married a [--?--] Cummings. 3) Della Sweat - born 1 June 1879 in South Carolina, died 22 March 1956 in Scotland County, North Carolina and buried in the county. Della married a William Brigman. I would love to learn more about these individuals.
