Thanks for the response. Actually I have a good bit of info on the Weavers and related families. For clarity about my family though: John J. Lee first married Mary Weaver, daughter of Henry (as you know). He had a large family with her. She died a little after 1830 and then John Lee married a second woman also named Mary. Her maiden name is unknown to us and I will refer to her as Mary #2. It is this Mary #2 that is my ancestor and the one that I am trying to find out more about. Such as what was her maiden name and whom was the father of her first son. We know that she was born in SC and likely married John Lee in Tuscaloosa or a surrounding county.
When she (Mary #2) married John Lee she already had a son (my ancestor) named John Riley Taylor. We know nothing about John Riley Taylor’s father. John Lee and Mary #2 then had one son, Richard Lee. John Lee and Mary #2 moved with most of their family from AL to Copiah Co., MS around 1838.
The Weaver and other families mentioned in the query, as far as I know, are not direct ancestors of mine. But since most of these families came from Lexington , SC and then ended up in the Tuscaloosa area and since they also intermarried a lot I would think that Mary #2 could possibly be related to one of them. Especially since members of these families later moved to Copiah Co., MS and were living next to or near my Taylors and Lees.
In my Taylor family alone we had members that married into the Hallman/Weaver family and the Poe/Oswalt family. Just to mention a few.
