Hello Martha:
Do you have any birth or death dates for John and Jane Blackwell? We have one family of Blackwells living in our area. I know them well. I will start with them.
Are you familiar with cemeterys located south of the city of Sumter and north of the city of Manning? Many of my ancestors (Windoms) lived in that area that was known as "Tear Coat Swamp". The late 1700 and early 1800 land deeds located the swamp in the fork between Black River and Pocotaligo River.
