my william harris, jr d 1799 laurens co, sc and my research and harris dna show we trace back to captain thomas harris (1586-1656) henrico co,va and that our probable harris line is through william and judith hudson harris of lunenburg/ mecklenburg co, va. in the past and presently i am interested in any and all of these southside va/ laurens co, sc connections. per my william harris'/ judith hudson will 1778/ 1779 mecklenburg co, va, his executors were his friends, mark moore and william hudson and sons, william and reuben harris, and witnesses were: richard ragsdale; alexander pool; and mark moore. mark moore, a noted methodist minister, married rachel ragsdale and moved with his brother-in-law peter ragsdale by 1785 to laurens co, sc. james pool ( and the name is pool/pettypool) married 7/11/1782 mecklenburg co, va ursula hudson, dau of william hudson. by 1809 or earlier and as indicated by laurens deed book j, page 146, they were in laurens co, sc where william hudson gave to james pool, his son-in-law and dau ursula; william wilbon/wilborn, son-in-law, and dau cary; and jeremiah wilbon/wilborn son-in-law and dau polly two tracts of land on reedy river in laurens co, sc and a tract in rutherford co,nc...... among other questions----how was james pool related to alexander pool?? both my william harris, wife, frances and william and judith hudson harris were involved with the will and probate of the estate of john wilborn 1758-1762 lunenburg co, va. how were william and jeremiah wilborn perhaps related to this john wilborn??? i would appreciate hearing from others interested in these same and associated families. belva harris cauthen belvacauthen@yahoo.com Notify Administrator about this message?
