Looking for landmark on Saluda

I am trying to locate some land bounding on the Saluda River that shows four islands in the River. On the Abbeville Co. side of the river, the land belongs to Richard Maddox. On the Laurens Co. side, out in the water, just before the islands begin, is a big rock. Just after the islands end, there is another rock out in the river. The islands start with a real small one and get larger with each one. As yet I do not know to whom the land on the Laurens side belongs. Does anyone know where this land is?
I figure it would probably be around Maddox Bridge in the Brewerton-Harmony Church Community, with the widest range being from Ware Sholas to above Brewerton, maybe in line with Mt. Bethel Church, but on the river. Any help would certainly be appreciated. I am wondering if Laurens County has a Co. Mapping Dept. with aerial pictures. Seems the islands should show from the air. I don't think the dam at Ware Shoals would have caused the water to cover these islands. I have described an 1838 plat.
