Jane, this is very interesting. I believe that Mahaley and Margaret M. Coats had a sister named Candice/Candis/Candes, and both had daughters with a similar name. I don't know if Samuel R Jones and James Jones were related. Do you have any other information on the descendants of Samuel and Mahaley? Thanks for your response. Ann
