Thanks for any help. I too live too far from my research center and it does make it more difficult. The Laurens Sims had cousins in Abbeville also, but it doesn't appear that your Jacob was one of them either. He is a little too young it seems. But I will keep him in mind because there were a couple of Sims boys who may have been his father in Laurens and so far I haven't found their wills to establish their lines for sure. Again since I lived far off, I have to really target one line at a time when I go. That makes is longer for me to figure some things out but it makes it easier on me.
