amanda the short answer is still no, i do not know more about the descendants of hans and margaret wynne hendrick but i am going to give you more than just a "no" answer because i think these connections re hans hendrick/ margaret wynne and lewis graves are a lot more significant and important. although i have tried to learn more about any of these individuals and families associated with my william harris, jr/ frances rodgers in laurens co, sc and tried to figure out what that connection was and if they had known my harris family previously, my focus, of course, is still primarily on my own families. my harris/ rodgers/ mc nees/ goode families all came into laurens co, sc ca 1770 from the southside lunenburg/ charlotte cos, va area. my carter family, who also moved there to laurens co, sc ca 1770, moved there from frederick co, va. when i say on line, there is a site called the pamunkey hendrick family which gives the names of the children of hans and margaret wynne hendrick. also see below margaret wynne hendrick's children are named in her 1797 laurens co, sc will. again, i do not know more than what is at this site or her laurens co, sc will about hans and margaret wynne hendrick and their family or descendants. a copy of her will can be found in sara nash's laurens co, sc records book 1785 - 1820: laurens co, sc will book A-1, page 158, 1797, will of margaret hendrick. legatees: sons: micajah hendrick; william wynne hendrick; six daughters: fanny turner; peggy forgy; rachel hendrick; mary burgess; elizabeth wright; martha willard. executor: friend, lewis graves. wit: john middleton; jacob clemmons; elizabeth sims. of course, as indicated, your lewis graves was the executor of margaret wynne hendrick's laurens co, sc will. again, not only were hans and margaret wynne hendrick also involved there in laurens co, sc with patrick cunningham, who married our ann harris, sister of my william harris, jr/ frances rodgers, but hans hendrick/ magaret wynne were also on the lunenburg co, va 1749 tithe list, along with my william harris, sr/ frances goode; my mackerness goode, sr, etc, in cornelius cargill's district. hans hendrick/ margaret wynne is also part of the pamunkey hendrick family. as i have learned, and you can check out the info on both the pamunkey hendrick and pamunkey daveport families on line, per the info, lewis graves' of laurens co, sc grandparents were thomas graves, V, and anne davenport, who also is part of the pamunkey davenport family. i have also noted that the earlier captain thomas grave, patriarch of the graves family, was also at jamestown. so, did our harris family, who traces back to new kent/ hanover cos, va and from there to henrico co, va and to our captain thomas harris also of jamestown know the graves; davenport; and hendrick families earlier in these areas??? i think it is certainly very, very likely they did. however, sorry to say, so many of these early va records for these areas have been destroyed. these are certainly though some really interesting connections with the possiblility of a lot more being involved. so, if you happen to learn more, i would really appreciate hearing from you. belva Notify Administrator about this message?
