The 1883 map of Laurens Co. shows Maxwell's Shoals as being roughly west of Brewerton. The modern map of Laurens Co. shows Highway 63 crossing the Saluda at Brewerton, and a tributary of the Saluda (no name given)about a mile above this crossing. Putting these things together looks like Maxwell's Bridge was located near where Hwy. 63 crosses the Saluda. Notify Administrator about this message?
