John Howell and daughter Temperance (Tempe)

I am trying to establish the fact that the father of Temperance Howell (John Howell) is the Revolutionary War Patriot. I have the document of John Howell's Revolutionary War Service that I got from the SC Archives, but I do not have proof that this is the father of Tempy that married James Chism. The places he served are in the Laurens County area and he served with Colonel Robuck. "Blind" John Chism also served with Colonel Robuek and he also lived in that area (Pendleton District, York, Greenville County SC). Any help would be appreciated.
