Nancy, I just reviewed our messages and those from Peggy Wise regarding Robert Todd who died in about 1824 in Laurens. Another researcher connected to the Todd DNA Project Newsletter is also looking for Robert's son James who moved to Henderson Co., TN. For years I have had a hunch that Robert, Nathan, and my Patrick in Laurens were related. DNA has proved that Patrick and Nathan are related and both are genetically linked to Mary Todd Lincoln's ancestor, Robert's descendant/participant.
Patrick's daughter, Janet Betsey Todd, married Andrew McCall and moved to Henderson Co., TN in about 1831. After Andrew died she married an Ascroft but her children were all McCalls.
I had been searching for a descendant of Robert, Jr. who moved to Chambers Co., AL. You can find him on the 1850 Laurens census.
I would like to hear from anyone researching these families.
