Hi again Gava,
This may provide clues to help you find the parents of Eli.

There were only 3 Hardin families in Laurens Co. in 1810. (Eli would have been 2 years old). The 3 head of household were Geo, Nicklas, Sarrah. Only Geo or Nicklas had males under 10.

There were only 6 Hardin families total in SC in 1810. The other 3 were:

ABM Hardin - Newberry County - Census image too faded

JO Hardin - Pendleton District - can't read image

Josiah Hardin - Spartanburg - 2 males under 10
