Looking for father of James Lemons/Lemmons b. 1785-1790 possibly Ireland; d. 1873 Chester Co, SC. Married Mary b. abt. 1802. Their children according to 1850 Chester Co 1850 census: Saml. W. 22; James M. 21; E. W. (f) 19; A. J. (m) 16; M. (f) 15; Henry 13, J. B. (m) 10; H. A. (Harvey, CSA soldier) 7; Martha P. 5.

James is believed to be son of Moses Lemmons b. abt 1754 Ireland and d. 1854 Chester Co, SC. Moses stated on US Naturalization application in Chester Co in Nov 1813 that he had been residing in US since Dec 1791.

In 1800 there was a Samuel Lemon in Laurens Co who was over 45 yrs old. I wonder if there is a connection between Samuel and Moses (maybe brother--James' oldest son was Samuel W.) I need proof of James' father.
