Need information on the CARNATHAN's that lived in Lancaster County, South Carolina from 1700 to 1860. Janette was the daughter of Robert Mcilwain and Mary Mothershed they were born abt. 1780 in Lancaster District, South Carolina. Janette married Robert Carnathan, they had a son named William. William married Janette Kirk daughter of William Kirk and Elisabeth Mcilwain.
These three may be their sons of William Carnathan and Janette Kirk- E. Carnathan b.1785-William Carnathan b.1796-Adam b.1800 all born in South Carolina.I think that these three are brothers and William is my 3xs great-grandfather. NEED HELP!!!!!! Vickie
