Johnson/Johnston DNA

I have been researching the Johnson/Johnston lines of Horry county for some time now . It is a frustrating experience . The paper trail seems to vanish as soon as you reach the 1700's . Many Johns(t)on lines passed through the area on their way to Georgia ,Alabama and onward to the southwest.
As a means to help solve the mystery , I joined a DNA research group. Many have submitted their DNA and several lines have been determined connected or not connected . There are still ???'S .
If you are researching a Johns(t)on line from Horry county , I would like for you to consider DNA testing to determine your ancestral origin and connection to other Johns(t)on lines . You may contact me for more information.
