Attempting to locate the parents of Mary Margaret For/Farr/Pharr who married a Capt.George Bowen, Charleston, S.C. Family papers indicate that her mother was a Satterwhite, but no other info.
Her dates 1759-1785. Margaret and George died during the yellow fever epidemic in Charleston,S.C. and had only one surviving son. Said by this son to his children to be kinsman of Nathaniel Bowen of St. Michael's Epis. Church in Charleston,S.C. and both, according to family history are buried beneath the chancel at that church. A son, Orsamus Allen Bowen, married Clarissa Adger, daughter of
Mr. Robert Adger, of the "Sword Gate House" of Charleston.
