My mother-in-law was named Frances McSweeney, born in 1925. She was abandoned by her mother in Greensboro, NC in 1930 and told that her grandfather was Gov. Miles B. McSweeney. We do not know her father's name or what happened to her mother.
If anyone has any information, please contact me. I have 2 sons, and we tell them that they are descended from Miles McSweeney.
