Lynn,
John Nations children were: Christopher, Elizabeth m. a Love, Sarah Haulk, John, Jeremiah, Charlotte STEELE, Violet Duvall, Hannah Ashmore (mine) Christopher Robbins was the administrator.
Try this: http: greenvillecounty.org/historicalrecords apt 0 006 file 366, 2118 page apt 004, file 356 page 2118 and see if you can find his administration. This is no small fete figuring this out.
I found records for some of John's children in Ga., and then in Al.
There were several Steeles listed in the census at time John was there l790-l810 and then Catron/Catherine, his wife, was still there in l820 but someone put the information out that she moved to Ga with a child.
Let me know how you do. My e-mail is barbhens@sbcglobal.net Barbara
