Thank you for all of your efforts Charles. I remember my grandmother talking about JDC "the author" whom she knew personally. At the time I didn't pay much attention but have since become interested in genealogy and I have learned that he was my grandmother's 1st cousin once removed. My grandmother has long since gone to her eternal reward as have my dad (her son) and all of his generation so it's only the bits and pieces that their offspring (me and my siblings and cousins) remember that ties that generation to this.
