No, my grandfather was from Horry County. I was just hoping that you might also have information on that Company. A book on South Carolina troops during the Civil War says he served in Company K of the SC 7th Cavalry. The papers my grandmother submitted for a Confederate pension lists him as being in Company L of the 7th Cavalry. I know he was discharged early in the war due to "disability." He later rejoined the CSA at Greenville, SC., and shortly afterwards was wounded near Richmond. He was then transferred to the Richmond CSA hospital for treatment for a miniball he received in the face.
