I have a great grandmother, Harriet Jane Owens Heyns who was the daughter of Thomas Owens and Elizabeth Sessions. Harriet Jane was born on 4-27-1847 in Georgetown, SC. Her father Thomas was born in NC and mother Elizabeth was born in SC. Evidently they resided in Georgetown or Georgetown Cty for a period of time and they may be related to your Georgetown Cty relatives. Have you found any further information regarding your Owens ancestors in the Georgetown area?
