I went to the Georgetown County Library today in search of an obituary for Baby Josephine Tripp. Unfortunately, I was unable to find one. I looked through April, May, and June, 1904, issues of THE OUTLOOK, one of the local newspapers during that time.
However, I did find an advertisement for the following:
REV. J. W. POWELL, AGENT FOR THE ROBERTS MARBLE CO. OF BALD GROUND, GA....Manufacturers of High Grade Monumental Work. You can save money if you will consult me before you order anything in this line. Write to me for cuts, circulars and full information. Rev. J. W. Powell
Also, I found an obit for Rev. J. W. Powell. It was in the August 27, 1904, issue of The Outlook. His remains were taken to Rocky Mount, N. C. where the funeral services and burial took place.
James E. Butler, 42, lived on Highmarket Street in Georgetown with his family and his occupation was listed as a traveling agent. He was born in Virginia. I found this in the 1910 US Census for Georgetown County, SC.
I live in Georgetown County, so I will continue to look as much as I can for you.
