Am looking for any information on the family of Thomas Redden STUART, merchant marine captain, who was born in Georgetown, SC on 11-06-1904 (he's my uncle). He was married to my aunt Mildred Elizabeth CARTER (of Savannah, GA). His parents were Thomas Singleton STUART and Mary Alice MERCER. Not sure if this MERCER is from Georgetown or not, but would like to find more information on both of their families.
Thomas Redden STUART was a harbor master for Port Canaveral, FL and he owned a restaurant and fishing pier on what is now Cape Canaveral, later taken over by NASA. Any information on his ancestry would be appreciated, and I will reciprocate and send his information as it related to our CARTER lines in Chatham County, GA (Savannah).
