I have just started researching the Port history and don't know whether there is any connention here or not. Have not run across any Ballards or Barrows yet but I did have an great uncle that was named Benjamin (Benny) Port so there could be some connection I have not found yet. I really have not found a lot. I can only trace our history back to my great grandfather, Tom Port. From what my uncles tell me, he did not talk much about his family and his wife died in 1944 and they don't remember her that much. I do have a family page posted on Genealogy.com. It is called Port/Cribb Family History if you would like to see what I have. I will let you know if I find anything more.
