"Private" Laban Brock appears in Muster and Pay Rolls for the War of 1812. They state that his residence was Kershaw district possibly Camden as he mustered there in 1814.

He served under Capt Chapman Levy of Lt Col Adam McWillie's 2nd Regt, SC Militia.
