As a descendant of Robert Phillips, born Lancaster Co., SC 1786, I was interested in trying to breach the "brickwall" of not being able to document who his parents/ancestors were. Too many false leads, too many folks guessing. I joined the Phillips Surname DNA Project in an effort to connect to more folks who were related through the documentation of DNA. Nancy Kiser has been a real help, as have some of the male folks who have been determined to be genetically linked. I hope others will do the same, particularly males of the Phillips Surname who are descendants of Elijah and James. Even documentation showing no connection is just as important. It will take a group of PHILLIPS male to make this work. Srongly consider making it possible to further known Phillips history.
