I know of a William Burns who was a son of Sarah Burns Gibson, widow of Patrick Burns by 1783 when she marries Rev. Jacob Gibson. William Burns is mentioned in Gibson's estate, but he died in 1793. Could this be him? Did he go to Amite Co., Ms. with his Gibson step-brothers?
