Sandifers of Barnwell, Chester and Fairfield Counties, SC

William Nightingale Sandifer apparently left Chester County, SC around 1804/1805 and went to Barnwell County, SC and then on to MS around 1823. I think there is a strong connection between the Barnwell County Sandifers and the Chester/Fairfield County Sandifers. I have accumulated many of the deed and probate records of Sandifers in the Barnwell records through LDS microfilm and the generosity of other researchers who have copied records directly from Barnwell County Courthouse and sent them to me, more than what Annie Sandifer Trickett included in her book. I am currently still working on the Barnwell Courthouse records. I am willing to share what I have found with others who are researching these Sandifers.

I would very much like to communicate with anyone researching the Sandifers of Chester, Fairfield and Barnwell Counties, South Carolina.

Please get in touch.

I am a descendant of Peter Sandifer, b. 1771.

Tarney Sandifer Smith
