Henry Gregg/Gragg/Griggs 1763 Fairfiled
Posted by: Patricia Thompson (ID *****3665) Date: November 15, 2003 at 18:27:04

This man is my Grandda 7 generations back.
Here is the information I have so far:
Edward Gregg or Griggs
born: about 1729 County Antrim
married: about 1756 County Antrim
No name of spouse.
children:
1. James Gregg or Griggs
born about 1757 County Antrim
2. John Wesley Gregg or Griggs
born 1757 County Abtrim
3. Edward Gregg or Griggs
born about 1759 County Antrim
4. Henry Gregg, Gragg or Griggs
born May 4, 1763 Fairfield, South Carolina, USA

So, if the birth year of the last son is correct...
Edward, wife & 3 sons would have immigrated sometime between 1759-1763 to the US. I have been unable to find the ship they immigrated on, or to which port in the US. Also, interesting is the possible other spelling of last name w/son born in US..."Gragg". I am looking for ANY other information on this ancestor. His wife's information, his birth records, his parents, siblings, immigration records, anything. Can anyone help???? I have a clear trace from Edward's son "John Wesley Gregg/Griggs to the present. I would love to find any family still in County Antrim :) Thanks.
